Northill Village Hall
The current Northill Village Hall was built in the 1970s. It is managed by a committee of volunteers, responsible for hiring out the Hall, fundraising, day-to-day maintenance, and the making and implementation of longer term development plans.
Over the last few years: the Village Hall has been extended; tables and chairs replaced; new curtains, staging and lighting purchased; a new kitchen installed, followed by the recent purchase of new cookers; and refurbishment and modernisation of the toilet facilities.
This has meant that the Hall
has become an extremely useful community space for hosting a wide range
of events. Perhaps you are thinking about hosting a charity barn dance?
Or maybe you have been inspired by sites like
pokerblog.com to organise a
local poker tournament? If you think the facilities which the Hall has
to offer might be suitable for your event, then take a look at the
booking details at the bottom of this page. For the future, we are considering other improvements, including a further extension, better stage facilities, new windows and a further kitchen refurbishment.
The Hall attracts a diverse user community, from the local villages and further afield. It is used as a Polling Station on election days, and we offer a range of users a place to call home for their many and varied interests. Currently these include:
Weekly - Toddler Group, Yoga classes, Keep-Fit, junior and senior Drama Groups, Karate. Monthly - Tea Rooms, Women’s Institute. Occasional – children’s birthday parties, other private parties, christenings, Christmas bazaar, New Years Eve party, Valentines Night, Christmas Ball, whist drives, bowling evenings, Harvest suppers, ‘Northill Beer Festival’, club dinners etc.
