Sarah and Rachel Wingfield are planning to go to Ghana in August 2010 to work in an orphanage and help with HIV/AIDs Awareness. They need to raise £3000, which goes towards the up keep of the orphanage. It does not cover flights, weekend travelling or spending money. The orphanage is also in need of crayons, toys and books. If you have any that you do not need and they are suitable for 1 –5 year olds please donate them and they will take them to Ghana. "We are willing to do any odd jobs that may need doing!" eg Car washing Cleaning Babysitting GardeningDog walking Pet sitting etc. in return for a donation. Both Sarah and Rachel are qualified first aiders. Sarah and Rachel are also organising several local events including a regular Drive Sale and a Safari Supper on July 11th and a T-Shirt Fashion Show Watch this space and the Parish News for up coming events and more information!! ************************************************** Comprehensive information including a floor plan and booking forms for Northill Village Hall are now available on this web site. - Click Here The Northill Cider Press was in action for the fist time with a team of 22 people swarming around the village like a plague of locusts collecting apples before producing 90 gallons of cider now fermenting around the village. Click on the header above for photos. On August Bank Holiday Weekend 2008 the Friends of St Mary organised the inaugural village scarecrow festival. With over 40 scarecrows erected throughout the villages of Northill, Ickwell and Hatch, and raising £1300 towards the church reparation funds, the event proved to be a huge success which involved people from the whole parish and beyond.
